ARTIST STATEMENT

I aim to reflect on the hidden aspects of our existence that are often obscured from view such as the subconscious mind, dreams, and the world of the spirit.

My art is a representation of the journey in my life and the different stages that one must go through to reach this higher state of being. I use a variety of mediums and techniques to express this transformation, including painting, sculpture, and mixed media.

One of the central themes in my work is the concept of "spirit affects matter". This idea highlights the connection between the spiritual and physical realms and how one's spiritual journey can have a profound impact on the material world. I explore this theme through the use of symbols and imagery that represent the transformation of energy from one form to another.

Overall, my art is a reflection of my personal journey towards enlightenment and my exploration of the deeper aspects of existence. It is my hope that my work can inspire others to embark on their own journey of self-discovery and transformation.

As an artist who is deeply fascinated with alchemy, my work is centered on the transformation of the soul from its ordinary state towards a higher level of consciousness.

My art seeks to explore the various stages of this transformation and how it affects the physical world around us.

Through a meditative process, I observe the world of art and contemplate the various symbols that represent the soul, spirit, and nature.

2019

In previous years, I presented mainly oil paintings, pigments and gold leaves exhibitions and watercolor paintings on self-made paper. I exhibited on the topic of the Book of Creation and Jewish Kabbalah, reflections on the water and anatomy of the human body from within

2019  I was engaged in still photography with a reference to light and color in precise composition - when there is a dialogue between painting and photography all the time. I shoot and edit videos in which I document spaces in the world of art. It could be a visit to the studio, an exhibition opening, a gallery talk or even ancient art centers of the greatest masters.

In the last two years, I have been meeting artists in their studio and taking stills and videos - the meeting, intimate conversations about their creation and their workspace - these give me inspiration and motivation to learn more about the creative processes. In 2015, I filmed the artist Jacob Gabbay. In 2016, I made a video on a street photography with the photographer Pierre Paulin.

In 2016, I filmed the studio Rembrandthuis in Amsterdam, in pigments center in the Netherlands - preparation of oil paints. As in meditation where the thought contemplates the thought itself, so I create art in dialogue with the people, places and materials of the world of art.
